How is this little girl doing and has anyone come forward to claim her yet?

Nobody has come forward, however the vets are happy to keep her and continue her treatment ( she has her leg in a cast) and have said she is not up for rehoming at this time. The underlying comments were that she had been used for baiting..

This is the latest from the vets: We have decided to name our little friend Margo. 
Her wounds are healing well. She's going to stay with one of our nurses over the weekend where she will no doubt be recuperating on the sofa! 
We would like to thank you all for your continued support and best wishes. A big thank you to the Maidstone dog warden who has donated £100 towards her treatment.

I'll give then a ring tomorrow, but I think (according to their FB page) she has been taken on by one of the vet nurses?

Poor little girl so pleased she is safe with obviously a lovely vet 

poor poppet glad they have continued her treatment and she is getting the love and attention she so deserves.

I have spoken to the lady dealing with Margo, and one of the nurses is hoping to adopt her.
They are 1. waiting to see if Margo gets along with the nurses other dogs and 2. seeing if an owner comes forward within the legal timeslot.

I have been asked to phone again Monday to see how her weekend with her prospective new family went.
Are you happy for me to do this, or would one of the Admin team like to do it?

Just a thought - would be wise to express an interest in helping Margo on their FB page?
That way, it's a firm offer of Rescue space if needed?

Fantastic news for this poor little girl!!   Hopefully all will be good with the dogs liking each other and no owner (if you could call them that) comes forward

I have rang and spoken to the Vet nurse (Amy) who took Margo home for the weekend.
She has done really well, got on with their other dog, was very good with their little girl and Amy and family would like to keep her if things continue in this vein.

If things change, Amy or someone at the vets practice will contact Lurcher SOS with a view to finding Margo rescue space.

So, all good for now, and hopefully this very special girl has found her forever home.


Health wise, Margo is recovering well and getting over her horrible ordeal
